Overview: Mia Baldassari was an excellent contact hitter and was extremely patient at the plate. She hit for average and power. She ended her career as the all time leader in hits (354) and Times On Base (628) and posted a .459 career batting average. In her final season, Mia set the 14U single season records for batting average (.623), on base percentage (.676) and slugging percentage (.761).

Mia's primary positions were pitcher and first base. Mia had great game sense, a strong arm and a great glove. She was an extremely consistent fielder and helped lead a very stingy defense.

As a pitcher, Mia used a combination of fastballs, curves, drops, and change ups to attack hitters. She averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game, which at the time of her retirement ranked highest among pitchers with a minimum of 300 innings pitched. She was 8-0 in the 2011 State and Regional Championships giving up only 7 runs in the eight games helping the Blue Devils capture the State and Middle Atlantic Region Championships. Mia was voted to the all-region team for her outstanding play in the 2010 Middle Atlantic Regional championship.
