Kiki Baldassari Commits to Providence

Kiki Baldassari has just committed to play her college softball at Providence in the Big East Conference. Kiki was a member of the first Blue Devils 10U team in 2005. She went on to play with the Blue Devils on the 12U, 14U, and 16U teams. She retired from the Blue Devils program at the end of the 2010 summer season as the all time leader in hits (297) and batting average (.478). She was one of the first members voted into the Blue Devils Hall of Fame. She is entering her senior year at Morris Knolls High School where she plays second base and has helped her team to two straight state sectional championships and one state championship. She has been recognized at the conference, county, and state levels for her play in high school.

 

14U Blue Devils Win Summer Championship

The 14U Denville Blue Devils finished the Summer season undefeated and won the Summer League Championship. The Blue Devils faced the Livingston Thunder in the finals at Zeek Field on July 26. The Blue Devils used strong pitching and defense enroute to an 8-0 victory. Mia Baldassari pitched a 1 hitter and issued no walks in the complete game effort. Six of the nine starters hit safely for the Blue Devils with Kelsey Hanson, Mia Baldassari, Maggie Shaw, and Madison Housel getting multiple hits each.

 

12U Blue Devils Finish Second

After finishng the regular season 9-2, the 12U Blue Devils entered the playoffs as the number 2 seed. The Blue Devils advanced to the finals by winning first and second round playoff games but fell to Mt Olive in the finals to finish second.

 

10U Blue Devils Finish Second

After posting a strong season, the 10U Blue Devils entered the National League Playoffs as the number 1 seed. However, they fell to the number 2 seed, Lenape Blazers in the finals to finish second.
